Why Do Christians Disagree Over Israel

Since the start of the Israel-Iran conflict that began on June 13 as Israel launched a preemptive strike on dozens of sites in Iran including nuclear facilities, a heavy water nuclear reactor, top Iranian nuclear scientists, and top brass in the IRGC or Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; there has been nonstop discussion about the modern day nation of Israel, their ties to the nation of Israel in the Bible, their legitimacy as a people and nation, whether or not they are recipients of a covenantal land promise, what their role is in Bible prophecy, whether or not the United States should get involved in the conflict offensively, and even whether or not the promise of Genesis 12:3 applies to the modern nation of Israel and her allies.
