SBC Membership Falls to Lowest Number Since 1970’s

According to Lifeway Research, The Southern Baptist Convention, America’s largest Protestant denomination, lost nearly half a million people and 416 churches in 2022. The SBC has declined by more than 1.5 million since 2018. The organization has been on a continual decline in membership since 2006 or 2007 (depending on who you ask) when their numbers were a whopping 16.3 million members. The difference in members is the largest single-year drop in 100 years. In this video, I discuss why.
