Reflecting on 29 Years of Ministry

29 years ago today, at the age of 16, just two months after repenting and believing the gospel, I surrendered to the Lord’s will to serve him in ministry. It may sound premature or even immature to make such a commitment at only 16 and only two months after my conversion, but I cannot describe the radical change that took place in every aspect of my life immediately upon surrendering to Christ in May, 1994. I was a compulsive liar, a fighter, a bully, a thief, and I had a mouth so vulgar that I cursed with almost every sentence. There was an immediate change. All of a sudden, I hated my sin that I loved, and I suddenly loved the God that I had hated.
